The Jawbone’s Daughter

The Jawbone’s Daughter

Presented by Wasatch Theatre Company at Wasatch Theatre Company

“The Jawbone’s Daughter,” an absurdist, post-apocalyptic comedy, will return in October 2018 for six performances at Wasatch Theatre Company. Written by Eric Paul Lyman and directed by Jake Ben Suazo, “The Jawbone’s Daughter” tells of two starving wanderers who wrangle with an addled doorkeeper about hospitality, a nosebleed, and the impor- tance of hats.

The play had its premiere at the 2017 Great Salt Lake Fringe, where it received acclaim. Salt Lake City Weekly called it “a splendidly surreal mash-up of Samuel Beckett and Tom Stoppard,” and Utah Theatre Bloggers Association praised the play’s “superb script, surprising and astonishing acting, and shock factor laughs.”

The original cast—Jon Liddiard, Chris Bentley, and Eric Paul Lyman—will reprise their roles, asking the question: Would you rather eat a rabbit, your hat, or your traveling companion?
