Coal’s Deadly Dust

Presented by KUED Public Television at Salt Lake City Public Library (Main Branch)

Join KUED and KUER for a free screening and discussion surrounding Coal’s Deadly Dust. FRONTLINE and NPR investigate the rise of severe black lung disease among coal miners, and the failure to respond. This joint investigation reveals the biggest disease clusters ever documented, and how the industry and the government failed to protect miners.

Howard Berkes, Salt Lake City resident and former NPR correspondent, will join KUER’s news director Andrew Becker for a discussion following the episode.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. If you’d like to secure a seat, please RSVP to ldurham@kued.org by Thursday, February 7.
