Cinq Percussion is a percussion chamber music quintet based here in Salt Lake City. We are a group of performers, students, and educators who firmly believe that music is best experienced and created together as a community. We are dedicated to the creation and performance of percussion music with a focus on artistry, collaboration, and exploration.

Our approach is three-fold: the commissioning of new music, engagement with chamber percussion’s vast and incredibly rich body of repertoire, and educational/community outreach.

Members currently include Heather Church (Breckenridge, MN), Gavin Ryan (Payson, UT), Stephen Hughes (Brighton, TN), Jay Nygaard (St. George, UT) and Cris Stiles (Huntington Beach, CA)
Cinq was formed in the fall of 2017.
