Beethoven 1 & Demarre McGill plays Jolivet

Beethoven 1 & Demarre McGill plays Jolivet

Presented by Utah Symphony at Abravanel Hall

Flutist Demarre McGill, winner of an Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Sphinx Medal of Excellence, performs André Jolivet’s highly challenging Suite en concert, showcasing Jolivert’s unrivaled knowledge of both the flute and percussion instruments.

Additional Highlights Include: Beethoven Symphony No. 1. As the first symphony by the greatest symphonist who ever lived, one might expect clues of the daring and novelty to come, but Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 honors the traditions of Mozart, dead less than a decade, and his teacher Haydn.

Estimated concert length: 50 minutes (no intermission)
