Sacred Music for the Easter Season by the Utah Baroque Ensemble

The Utah Baroque Ensemble, a select community choir, performs a concert featuring a wide variety of sacred styles. As their name suggests, they will offer several selections from the baroque period with the choir and organ.  The concert also includes contemporary anthems of praise and gratitude to the Lord. Every spring the choir programs a setting of an old text that we love: “Where charity and love are, God is there.” This year the setting is modern, portraying perhaps the challenges as well as the peaceful rewards of practicing such love.   Folk hymns and spirituals–the music of simple people of faith–round out the program.
