Ryan Hamilton comes off as the ultimate all-American, fresh-faced, clean-cut guy — not the image people usually associate with stand-up comics, especially these days. And that's a huge part of what makes him so funny. But it's no joke: Hamilton really did grow up in a little potato-farming town in Idaho, eventually making his way to the big city by relocating to New York. Considering Hamilton's hyper-wholesome image, it shouldn't surprise a soul that his stand-up material is squeaky-clean — no expletives or off-color comedy for the boy from Idaho. In fact, Hamilton's richest source of laughs is his image itself. When he makes his own innocent aura the subject of his jokes — whether he's appearing at a comedy festival, a late-night TV show, or his own Netflix stand-up special, — it's almost impossible to resist the invitation to laugh along with him.
