As part of our Black, Bold & Brilliant series, Utah Film Center, in partnership with KRCL, is excited to announce our upcoming film screening and post-discussion of Blurring the Color Line – Wednesday, December 6th at 7 pm at the Downtown Salt Lake City Library.
What did it mean to be Chinese in Black spaces during segregation? Follow director Crystal Kwok’s journey of discovery, as she digs into the ways her grandmother’s family navigated life as grocery store owners in the black neighborhood of Augusta, Georgia.
Featuring a roundtable discussion by the Black, Bold & Brilliant team with members of the community who can speak to the history of Asian experiences regarding integration, immigration, and assimilation.
