The Blocks Truck

THE BLOCKS owns a large delivery truck that we refer to as THE BLOCKS Truck. We like to think of it as a party in a truck though it has infinite uses and is just waiting to be engaged! THE BLOCKS is thrilled to be given any opportunity to work with local artists, performers and organizers to support programming and events in the downtown area.

These assets are available to you and your group on a first come first served basis and for your next event or downtown activation — and they’re free of cost!

Contact Cassandra, cassandra@downtownslc.org for more information.

The Blocks Supplemental Promotion & Marketing Options (SOME OF THESE OPTIONS ARE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE, PLEASE CONTACT RYAN MACK FOR MORE INFORMATION)

THE BLOCKS is here to help you get the word out about your event or organization. We want everyone to know what our arts organizations and performance groups have going on – but we need your help to be fully effective. Download the PDF for all the ways that we can help to promote your programming (and get butts in your seats!). We need you to tell us what works for you and what you want to be promoted because the less guesswork on our part, the more successful we can all be.

Contact Ryan Mack, ryan@downtownslc.org for more information.

Supplemental Support for Artists and Arts Groups

THE BLOCKS is providing an opportunity for local artists, artist teams and arts and cultural groups to receive supplementary support intended to enable spontaneous, temporary, and/or nimble activations in the downtown area — the boundaries of 400 S. to North Temple and 600 W. to 400 E. —that will explore new possibilities in programming and cross-disciplinary partnerships within our creative community while inviting a broad range of artistic voices and social dialogue with audiences in the downtown area.

This supplementary support will be made available quarterly and is contingent upon specific criteria. The supplementary support can be used to subsidize any associated fees for permitting, artist materials, interim leasing, artist compensation, administrative assistance and/or marketing.

This call is open to all professional artists, designers, and/or artist-led teams residing in Utah. Those new to the public art process or artists and designers working outside of the traditional public art process are also highly encouraged to apply.

Contact Cassandra, cassandra@downtownslc.org for more information.
