Presented by Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company at Regent Street Black Box at Eccles Theater

Fill in the Blank will mark the Company’s second appearance at the Regent Street Black Box Theatre. This performance will include the Company premiere of Look Who’s Coming to Dinner (2018) by Stefanie Batten Bland. Inspired by the 1967 Stanley Kramer film, the work pays tribute to those who paved the way toward acceptance in love and life. Set around a transformative dinner setting, the performers excavate interlaced universal traumas through imagery and ritual as they seek a seat at the table. Batten Bland’s work will be accompanied by Andrea Miller’s I can see myself. This jubilant dance was slated to premier in Spring of 2020 and had an abridged version premiere virtually in Spring 2021. This will be the first time it will be seen locally in its entirety. Miller’s vibrant expressions, movement, and enthusiasm is sure to be felt from head to toe in this intimate black box setting. Rounding out this performance will be a world premiere by Company alumnus, Jo Blake.
